There is few waterproof mobile phones on the market from Sony and Samsung including:

  • Galaxy S5, S7 and S7 Edge
  • Xperia Z, Z1, Z2, Z3, Z3 Compact, Z5 and Z5 Compact

Those use glass panels, metal or plastic frame assembled with special adhesive. The air has been taken out of the phone by manufacturing machines before assembling.

When we open your phone to fix it, we use the same kind of bonding matherial to assemble it again. However we cannot fix the phone in exactly the same way as it is being done during manufacturing process. That has to be done by dedicated machines available only to the manufacturer.

We always make sure it has been well assembled. We test it with diagnostic software to confirm the proper seal (most waterproof phones have sensors). However we don’t recommend it to be considered as waterproof for underwater use. If you phone suffers of water damage after repair, it will not be covered under our warranty.

You can still consider it as water ressistant to wet weather conditions but on your own risk.
