We provide an initial assessment and if you proceed, you bring or send the drives to our facility. Our engineers analyse each drive individually, determine the array parameters, and reconstruct the RAID virtually. Once we’ve verified the data integrity, we extract your files to new storage media. Throughout the process, we keep you informed and provide detailed reports on our findings and recovery progress.

For logical failures (controller issues, configuration corruption), we achieve 90-95% success rates. For arrays with physical drive failures, success rates vary from 70-90% depending on the extent of damage and RAID level. Recovery time depends on the complexity of your RAID configuration and the extent of the failure. Our Standard service typically takes 5-10 working days, Priority service 3-5 days, and Emergency service 1-3 days. Simple logical failures or controller issues may be resolved faster, while arrays requiring extensive drive repair or complex reconstruction take longer. We provide accurate time estimates after our initial diagnosis and keep you updated on progress throughout the recovery process.

Yes, we charge a £39 diagnostics fee if you decide not to proceed with the recovery after we’ve completed our analysis. This covers the cost of examining your drives, determining the RAID configuration, assessing the failure, and providing you with a detailed report and recovery quote. If you proceed with the recovery, this fee is included in the total cost. If the failure was caused by our error during diagnosis, we don’t charge anything.

We operate on a “No Recovery, No Fee” basis. If we cannot recover your RAID data, you only pay the £39 diagnostic fee. This covers the significant time and resources we invest in analysing your array, attempting various recovery methods, and providing you with a detailed report of our efforts. Given the complexity of RAID recovery, this represents exceptional value – you’re only paying £39 even if we spend days working on your array.

However, for particularly complex cases or exotic RAID configurations, we may partner with specialist laboratories. We always seek your permission first and use only trusted partners with proven track records. We maintain full responsibility for the recovery and ensure secure transport. Our goal is always to provide you with the best possible outcome.

However, RAID recovery involves complex procedures and some risk is inherent. Before starting work, we require a signed agreement acknowledging that you understand the risks and accept full responsibility. We never guarantee recovery success, as some arrays may be beyond repair when they arrive.
