Fixfactor Warranty Policy
Summary
Fixfactor provides a 6-month warranty on most repairs and a 3-month warranty on microsoldering repairs. Our warranty covers both replacement parts and labour for the specified period. This document explains what is covered, what isn’t covered, and how to claim warranty service.
About Fixfactor
Fixfactor operates in two London locations:
- Oxford Street: Operated by Evolfe LTD (company number: 12142547), the owner of the Fixfactor brand.
- Wimbledon: Operated by AC TECH FIX LTD under license from Evolfe LTD.
Both locations follow the same warranty policy and honor repairs performed at either location. Your warranty is valid at both our Oxford Street and Wimbledon locations, regardless of where your device was originally serviced.
What Our Warranty Covers
Parts and Labour
Our warranty covers both replacement parts used in your repair and the labour required to fit them. If a part fails during the warranty period, we will replace it free of charge.
Specific Repair Only
The warranty only applies to the specific component that was repaired or replaced. For example, if we replace your screen, the warranty covers issues with that screen but not unrelated problems with your battery or charging port.
Multiple Repair Attempts
If we are unable to fix the same issue after three repair attempts, we will offer a full refund of the original repair cost.
Warranty Duration
- Standard repairs: 6 months on parts and labour
- Microsoldering repairs: 3 months
- Liquid damage cleaning: No warranty (service only)
- Software repairs: No warranty after 1 week of confirmation
- Data recovery: No warranty after confirmation of recovered files
Warranty period starts from the date we inform you that your device has been repaired.
Important Limitations
Physical Damage
The warranty is void if there is any physical damage to the repaired component or device after repair. This includes cracked screens, dents, water damage, or any other accidental damage.
Post-Repair Testing
We test all devices before and after repair. If you notice any issues not related to the repair, please notify us within 3 days. After this period, we will only be responsible for the specific component that was repaired.
Immediate Reporting
If you notice any issues with the repair (such as loose fitting or functionality problems), you must notify us immediately. Continued use of a device with known issues may cause further damage and void the warranty.
Screen Protectors
Screen protectors and tempered glass are not covered by our warranty. While they provide additional protection, they do not guarantee your screen won’t break if dropped.
How to Claim Warranty Service
For Online/Mail-in Repairs:
- Contact us first to describe the issue
- Send your device with your order number (shipping cost is your responsibility)
- We’ll repair it within 5 working days
- We’ll return it to you at our cost
Note: If you report an issue within 5 days of receiving your repaired device, we will cover your return shipping costs.
For In-Store Repairs:
- Contact us by phone or email first
- We’ll schedule an appointment at either our Oxford Street or Wimbledon location
- Repairs will typically be completed on the same day
You can visit either of our locations for warranty service, regardless of where the original repair was performed.
For Courier-Delivered Devices:
- Contact us to arrange collection
- You’ll need to cover the courier cost to return the device to us
- We’ll return the repaired device at our cost
What Is Not Covered
- Physical damage to any part of the device
- Liquid or water damage
- Screen protectors and tempered glass
- Software issues after the 1-week confirmation period
- Data recovery services after confirmation of file recovery
- Travel or shipping costs (except as specified above)
- Issues unrelated to the original repair
