Book Appointment
Pick a time at our Wimbledon workshop in south-west London. Tell us the model and what is wrong when you book — we order the part for your device, and that is what makes a while-you-wait repair possible.
Expert Diagnostics
We find out what has actually failed, and you get the price before anything is worked on. There is a diagnostic fee for the time that takes, and it comes off the repair in full if you go ahead.
Professional Repair
Nothing starts until you have said yes to the quote. Then it is repaired here, on our own bench, with the grade of part we would fit to our own machine.
Quality Parts
We use premium components for reliable performance
Fast Service
Most repairs completed in 15-120 minutes
Advanced Techniques
Motherboard-level repairs using specialized equipment
Testing & Collection
We thoroughly test your device to ensure it’s working perfectly before you take it home.
6-12 Month Warranty
Repairs that involve replacing a part carry 6–12 months on parts and labour, following the warranty our supplier gives us. Motherboard work carries 6 months, water damage treatment 3 months. Data recovery is confirmed before you pay, so it carries no warranty.

You Pay for Recovered Data, Not for Attempts
Five steps, in order, and you see the recovered files before you pay for them.
Professional Data Recovery in London
When data loss strikes, Fixfactor helps you get your files back safely and securely. We recover data from damaged drives, phones and computers at our lab in the Wimbledon workshop, south-west London — and we tell you what is recoverable before you commit to anything.
Our ISO Class 5 cleanroom facilities and professional recovery equipment enable us to handle even the most complex recovery scenarios that consumer-level software cannot address.
- Hard drives, SSDs, USB drives and memory cards
- Smartphones and tablets (iPhone, Android)
- Laptops, desktops and all other devices
How Data Recovery Works
Get Initial Estimate
Describe your device, what happened, and which data you need. We’ll provide an estimated price range and preliminary assessment within hours. No commitment required.
Professional Diagnostic
Bring or post the device to our Wimbledon lab. We evaluate it on professional data-recovery equipment and under the microscope, then send you a report: what is wrong, how likely recovery is, a fixed price and a realistic date. The £39 diagnostic fee is not refundable — it buys you a real answer before you commit to anything.
Approve or Walk Away
Review the quote and decide. If we fail to recover your data, you pay nothing beyond the £39 diagnostic fee. If the price doesn’t work for you, walk away with just the diagnostic spent – no obligation to proceed.
Recovery Process
Work starts in the cleanroom, with component-level repair of the drive itself where that is what it takes. Your device stays in the Wimbledon lab and is never sent elsewhere. You hear from us at each stage.
Preview Before Payment
You see exactly what came back before you pay — in person at the Wimbledon workshop, or over a secure screen share. Check the files are the ones you needed, then approve payment and we copy them to your storage. We hold a backup for 24 hours and then wipe everything, as GDPR requires.
Choose Your Service Speed
Normal queue, normal working hours, and the base rate for the job.
Straight to the front of the queue, with work continuing past normal hours where it helps. Costs more than standard, and the quote says exactly how much.
Started the moment it arrives and worked around the clock, evenings and weekends included. The fastest we can go, and priced accordingly — you see the figure before you choose it.
Repairs & Servicing for Businesses
For companies, schools and other repair shops — how the work is handled, and what to do if you want it
Same workshop. Different handling.
Business work goes through the same bench and the same technicians as everything else on this page. What changes is how it is run: your jobs go into a priority queue rather than the walk-in one, we can collect and return across London, and you get one point of contact and one invoice instead of a receipt per device.
We work with companies of every size, with schools, and with other repair shops who send us the board-level and data-recovery work they do not do in-house. If what you need servicing is not a phone or a laptop at all — control panels, instruments, specialist electronics — that is still worth a conversation.
- Priority queue for business jobs
- Collection and return across London
- One contact, one invoice, an agreed turnaround
- Board-level repair and data recovery done here, not sent away
From First Call to Devices Back
Tell us what you have
Call 020 8543 7088 or send the list: device types, rough numbers, what is going wrong. One email is enough to start — there is no form to fill in.
We look, then quote
One device or a hundred, nothing starts until the price is in writing and you have said yes. Parts are ordered per device once you approve, so the lead time is part of the quote rather than a surprise later.
Collection or drop-off
We collect across London and return the same way, or you drop devices at the Wimbledon workshop. For a fleet we agree a schedule so it does not all land on one person’s desk at once.
Repaired, tested, reported
Work is done on our own bench, tested before it leaves, and returned ready to use — with a condition report per device if you want one. Regular clients get a named contact and turnaround times we commit to.
How It Works for You
Repairs for a company’s own devices
Downtime costs more than the repair does, so business jobs go into a priority queue rather than the walk-in one. You get the turnaround before you commit, one point of contact, and one invoice at the end instead of a receipt per device.
Device repairs
Laptops, phones, tablets and desktops, in and out fast. Parts are ordered per device once you approve the quote, so the lead time is in the quote rather than sprung on you afterwards.
- Priority queue for business jobs
- Loan device where we have one to lend
- Volume pricing across multiple devices
Servicing and maintenance
Scheduled checks instead of waiting for the failure. Cheaper than the emergency, and it happens on a date you chose.
- Scheduled maintenance visits
- Hardware health checks and cleaning
- On-site or collection and return
The difficult ones
Board-level faults, liquid damage, and the machines another provider has already handed back unfixed. This is the bench the rest of the site is about.
- Component-level board repair
- Liquid damage treatment
- Microsoldering and BGA work
Business data recovery
When it is the data rather than the device that matters. Same cleanroom and the same five-step process as any other recovery, handled ahead of the queue.
- Priority handling
- Confidentiality agreement on request
- Recovery from any damaged device
Send us the list — device types, rough numbers, what is failing — and you will get a quote and a date back.
When you need a workshop, not a repairer
Some companies need somebody who knows their product, holds capacity for it and can be named as the service route for their customers. That is a written arrangement with agreed turnarounds, not an ad-hoc one — and it starts with us seeing the equipment.
Authorised repair provider
We act as your service centre: repairs carried out on your behalf, to your standards, with your customer never dealing with us directly.
- Repairs handled under your brand
- Technicians trained on your equipment
- Warranty repair handling and reporting
Dedicated capacity
Bench time reserved for your work, so your jobs are not queued behind the walk-ins. Scales as you grow.
- Capacity held for your volume
- Agreed, guaranteed turnaround
- Custom repair procedures written for you
Custom equipment
Control panels, instruments, specialist consumer devices — if the fault is electronic we can usually service it, and we build the procedure for your product rather than improvising.
- Bespoke diagnostic procedures
- Specialist component sourcing
- Technical documentation you keep
How the arrangement works
Clear terms, fair pricing, and monthly reporting so you can see what is failing and how often. We invest in learning your product, which is what makes it faster in year two than in year one.
- Named account contact
- Monthly reporting
- White-label service available
Call us and bring one unit in. Neither of us should commit before we have seen what we are agreeing to.
Repairs for schools and colleges
Term time is unforgiving: devices break in week two and the budget was set in July. We work to that — batches priced as batches, turnaround planned around the timetable, and an honest answer about which machines are no longer worth repairing.
Classroom devices
Chromebooks, iPads, laptops and tablets, repaired in batches. The damage a school sees is predictable, which is what makes it cheap to plan for.
- Batch pricing for multiple devices
- Screens, batteries, keyboards and cases
- Turnaround planned around the timetable
End-of-term servicing
A fleet checked, cleaned and repaired between terms, so it goes back into classrooms working rather than half working.
- Batch processing over the holidays
- Health checks and cleaning
- A written condition report per device
Data recovery and migration
Recovering work off a damaged device, or moving data safely when a fleet is replaced. Handled the same way as any school record should be.
- Recovery from damaged devices
- Safe migration to new equipment
- GDPR-compliant handling and wiping
Repair or replace
The most useful thing we do for schools is sometimes to say do not repair this one. You get that in writing, per device, before you spend.
- Repair-versus-replace assessment
- Refurbishment where it is worth it
- Secure wiping and disposal guidance
Tell us the fleet — models, rough numbers, what is failing — and we will price the batch and give you a date.
Trade repairs for other repair shops
You keep the customer. We do the part you do not do in-house — board-level work, data recovery, the liquid-damage jobs that need a bench you have not bought. Nothing we do carries our name to your customer, and we never contact them.
Board-level repairs
Send us the boards your shop does not take on. We diagnose, repair and return; you invoice your customer at your own rate.
- Component-level diagnosis
- Microsoldering, BGA reballing and replacement
- No contact between us and your customer
Data recovery
Offer recovery without buying the cleanroom or the PC-3000. We do the work, you keep the relationship and the margin.
- Cleanroom and PC-3000 work
- Trade pricing
- White-label reporting
The awkward cases
Liquid damage, faults nobody can name, devices another shop has already given up on. We will tell you honestly when one is not worth your customer’s money.
- Liquid damage treatment
- Complex fault diagnosis
- Chip-level repair
Trade account
A simple arrangement: agreed prices, agreed turnarounds, and complete discretion. Set up in a phone call.
- Trade account pricing
- Agreed turnaround times
- Your branding on the return
One call opens a trade account, and the first job can be on the bench the same week.

How You Pay
Three arrangements, depending on how often you need us. All of them quote before the work, not after.
Per repair
Pay per job, quoted upfront, no commitment either way. Right for occasional repairs and one-off projects.
Batch and volume
A rate for the batch rather than per device. Right for schools between terms, fleet repairs, and trade partners sending regular work.
Partnership
Capacity reserved for you on monthly terms, with turnaround times we commit to and a named contact. Right when repairs are a standing part of how you operate.
Start with a call
Two minutes on the phone gets you further than any form. Tell us what you have and what is wrong with it, and we will tell you what happens next.
Repair Services FAQ
Most standard repairs (screen replacements, battery replacements) are completed within 15-120 minutes if parts are available. Complex repairs like motherboard repairs or water damage recovery may take 3-5 days, depending on the severity of the issue.
Our warranty coverage ranges from 6-12 months, depending on the service and parts used (based on manufacturer part warranties). This covers both parts and labor for the specific repair we performed. If the same issue recurs or there’s a fault with the replacement part, we’ll repair it free of charge. The warranty doesn’t cover new damage, water damage, or issues unrelated to the original repair.
We always recommend backing up your data before any repair service. While we take every precaution to protect your data, certain repairs may require a factory reset or could result in data loss if complications arise. For data recovery services, we’ll work to recover your files, but backing up accessible data beforehand is always good practice.
Plenty of devices arrive with an ‘unrepairable’ verdict from another shop. Many leave working. Our technicians repair at component level — microscopes, specialised equipment, board-level diagnostics — and the diagnosis is how we find out whether yours is one of them.
