iPhone, Laptop & Motherboard Repair in Wimbledon
Walk-in repair shop on Kingston Road, open since 2014. Same-day screens and batteries when we have the part, plus board repairs and data recovery that other shops turn away.
What We Fix at Kingston Road
What comes through the door most, and where each job gets done.
Phone Repairs
Screens, batteries, charging ports and cameras, done at the front counter: iPhone, Samsung, Pixel, OnePlus and Nothing.
iPhone Repairs
Screen, battery, port and back glass on site. Face ID, audio and no-power faults go to the microscope bench.
Samsung Repairs
Galaxy S, Note and A-series screens and batteries. Curved-display swaps are done here, not sent away.
Laptops & MacBooks
Screens, batteries, keyboards and SSD upgrades at the counter. Liquid damage and logic-board faults move to the bench.
Board-Level Repair
Microsoldering and BGA rework under a stereo microscope: dead boards, power faults, no image. This is the work most shops send away.
Data Recovery
A separate lab with PC3000 and a donor-drive library. Clicking drives, dead SSDs, soaked phones, head swaps.
Repairs Done While You Wait
Four jobs go out the same day: screens, batteries, charging ports and back glass. We need the part in the shop first, and we don’t stock every model. Book a slot, tell us the device, and we order the part against a 50% deposit. It usually arrives the next day, and the repair takes 30 minutes to two hours.
Without a booking, leave the device with us. We order what it needs and you collect it the next day or the day after. No deposit, and you pay once you have checked the repair.

Gaming Laptop GPU Repair

Water Damage and Board Repairs
Liquid damage is rarely one fault. A phone that still works after a soaking usually has corrosion spreading under the shields. A phone that will not turn on might need a clean, or a new power IC. Either way the job starts the same: full strip-down, ultrasonic clean, then the board under the microscope to see what the water has damaged.
If the fault is not obvious, that is a £39 diagnostic. We open it, test it and give you a price, and the £39 is credited towards the repair. Decide against the repair and the fee covers the work already done, so it is not refunded. One thing to know up front: the cleaning itself carries no warranty, because corrosion can keep working under components where nobody can see it on the day. Parts we replace carry the usual 6-12 months.
Why Choose Fixfactor Wimbledon
6-12 Month Warranty
Parts and labour on every repair, twelve months where the parts supplier backs it.
Your Data Stays Yours
We don’t wipe devices. If it powers on and you give us the passcode, we back it up before we start.

If you have any drone or complex gear definitely visit here. I came with a loose arm on my drone which would set me back almost £200. I came in person and he advised me to just glue it. He done it for me without costing me anything. Really appreciate the honesty and expertise!
Unstuck a stuck key on my Surface Pro caused by liquid damage. I was really happy with the result, so glad I chose them for the repair!
Great experience. I left my laptop because it had an issue with the motherboard and they fixed it in 2 days. Price wasn’t so bad either. I’ll go there again if I need to, definitely.
Frequently Asked Questions
What devices can you repair at your Wimbledon workshop?
Phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, DJI drones and games consoles. Wimbledon is our main workshop, so the hard jobs come here too: microscope diagnostics, microsoldering, BGA rework, ultrasonic cleaning after liquid damage, and data recovery on PC3000. If another shop called it unrepairable, bring it in.
How quickly can you replace an iPhone screen?
One to two hours for the replacement itself. To have it done while you wait, book ahead so we can pre-order the screen, with a 50% deposit. The part is usually here the next day. Without a booking, drop it off and collect the next day or the one after: no deposit, and you pay once you’ve checked it.
Can I drop in without booking an appointment?
Yes. Come in during opening hours and we’ll look at it on the spot. No appointment is needed if you’re happy to leave it a day or two. Booking is for while-you-wait repairs, where the part has to be ordered before you arrive.
What warranty comes with your repairs?
Six months minimum on parts and labour, up to twelve where the parts supplier’s terms allow it. Liquid-damage cleaning is the exclusion: cleaning cannot stop corrosion that was already under the components. New damage and a second soaking aren’t covered either.
Will my data be safe during the repair?
We never delete customer data. If the device powers on and you give us the passcode, we back it up before we start. Say so when you book. Make your own backup too: liquid damage and board work carry real risk to data. If recovery is the priority, say so upfront and we change the approach.
How much does a diagnostic assessment cost?
A quick look in the shop, or an estimate by email, costs nothing. Full diagnostics costs £39. We open it, test it, inspect the board under the microscope and check whether the parts are available, usually within one to three days. Go ahead and the £39 is credited towards the repair. Decide against it and the fee covers the work already done; it isn’t refunded.
Do you offer a mail-in repair service?
Yes. Send it to the Wimbledon workshop by courier and we return it repaired. Inside London we can arrange same-day collection and return through our courier partner for an extra charge; contact us for current rates.
