Cracked screen or dead motherboard —we fix it all.
The everyday stuff — screens, batteries, charging ports — done fast, fairly and properly. Plus the component-level repairs and data recovery most shops can’t touch. Same workshop, same care, whatever you bring us.
Everyday repairs first. Impossible ones too.
Most of what we do is the ordinary stuff — the cracked screens, tired batteries and worn-out ports that come with owning a phone or a laptop. We just happen to also fix the things everyone else gives up on.
Screens & displays
Cracked, shattered or dead screens on phones, tablets and laptops — replaced properly, often the same day.
Batteries & charging
Won’t hold charge, won’t turn on, or won’t charge at all? Worn batteries and loose charging ports sorted.
Water & liquid damage
Spilled on, dropped in, caught in the rain — cleaned, dried out and brought back wherever it’s possible.
Laptops & computers
Slow, crashing, won’t boot, or a Mac that’s given up — laptop and desktop repairs across every brand.
Data recovery
Photos, work and files off a drive that’s failed, been dropped or won’t mount — assessed before you commit.
Board-level repairs
Microsoldering and component-level work — the motherboard faults others can only replace, not repair.
It began with a kid who couldn’t leave things alone.
Long before Fixfactor was a company, it was a boy taking apart the family’s electronics to see how they worked — and, most of the time, putting them back together. That curiosity never switched off.
In 2014 it became a small workshop in Wimbledon — fixing everyday cracked screens and flat batteries, and quietly getting good at the tricky faults the high street couldn’t. No big plan, no investors. Just a bench, a soldering iron, and a stubborn belief that most “broken” things aren’t broken, they’re just waiting for someone who cares enough to fix them properly.
Twelve years and 220,000 repairs later we’re still doing exactly that — the quick fixes and the hard ones alike. Same obsession, better microscopes, and a lot more scar tissue on our fingertips.
Whether it’s a cracked screen or a dead motherboard, the answer is the same: let’s fix it, properly.— The reason Fixfactor exists
The rules we actually live by.
Not a poster on the wall. These are the things we’d tell you to your face across the workshop bench.
We fix the chip, not the module.
Most shops swap a whole part and hope. We diagnose down to the individual component — and repair that.
We’ll tell you when it’s not worth it.
If a repair costs more than it’s worth, we say so. An honest “no” beats an expensive “maybe”.
Your data is yours.
We handle it like it’s our own — logged, protected, and never treated as an afterthought.
No cheap parts. No shortcuts.
Done properly or not at all. If we wouldn’t put it in our own device, it doesn’t go in yours.
People over transactions.
We build relationships, not tickets. Most of our work comes from people who came back — or sent a friend.
There’s almost always a way.
“Unfixable” is usually just “nobody’s tried hard enough yet.” That’s where we start, not where we stop.
The same care goes into a screen swap as a motherboard.
Most repair shops can only replace whole parts. We also work at component level — reading schematics, chasing a fault along a single trace, reflowing a chip smaller than a grain of rice under the microscope.
Why does that matter for a simple screen or battery job? Because a workshop that can fix a motherboard treats your everyday repair to the same standard — properly diagnosed, done once, done right. It’s the reason people trust us with the quick fixes and the “written-off” ones alike.
- Microsoldering & BGA rework — component-level repairs
- Thermal imaging & oscilloscopes to find hidden faults
- PC-3000 & clean-room data recovery from “dead” drives
- Liquid-damage revival with ultrasonic cleaning
One faulty part, pinpointed — and repaired at component level.
One workshop became a mission.
Every year added another connection to the board.
The first bench
Launched in Wimbledon, repairing every major phone brand — and the ones others refused.
Going deeper
Expanded to OnePlus, Pixel, Huawei and DJI drones. Built a reputation the hard way — on reviews.
Rescuing data
Invested in professional data recovery — clean-room cabinets, PC-3000, and the training to use them.
Weathering the storm
Opened Central London, survived a pandemic, and rebuilt the business leaner and sharper.
