iPhone X Camera Lens Replacement (A1865) – Fixfactor London
Cracked camera lens on your iPhone X? At Fixfactor, we replace the outer lens glass to restore clear photos. Visit us in London or use our mail-in service.
Signs You Need Camera Lens Replacement:
- Cracked or shattered glass over camera
- Scratches affecting photo quality
- Photos appear blurry, hazy, or have spots
- Missing pieces of lens glass
- Visible debris or moisture under the lens
Camera Lens vs Camera Module: The camera lens is the protective glass covering your camera. If this glass is cracked or scratched, we replace it – this doesn’t require opening your iPhone. However, if debris, dust or moisture has entered through the cracked lens and damaged the camera module itself, the module would need replacement. Module replacement is a separate repair that requires opening the phone and costs more. We’ll diagnose this during the repair and contact you before proceeding with any additional work.
Same Price for 1 or All: Whether you need 1 or both camera lenses replaced, the price is the same – we replace what’s damaged.
Visit Us in London: We don’t stock all camera lenses – there are too many iPhone models – but we can usually get yours next day. For while-you-wait service, book an appointment and we’ll have your lens ready when you arrive. You can also drop in without booking, but don’t expect same-day replacement without an appointment.
Mail-In Service: Can’t visit us in London? Send your iPhone to Fixfactor – we’ll replace the camera lens and return it within 1-3 working days.
Quality Replacement Parts: We use quality-tested camera lens glass for iPhone X. Each lens is checked for clarity and proper fit before installation.
Water Resistance: Camera lens replacement doesn’t require opening your iPhone’s main housing, so the internal seal remains intact. However, the camera lens itself provides protection from moisture – while we seal the new lens properly, any repair carries some risk to the original weather sealing.
What We Do:
- Carefully remove broken lens glass
- Clean the camera area and check the camera module for damage
- Install new lens glass with proper adhesive
- Test camera functionality
What We Test: Camera focus, image clarity, flash functionality, and overall photo quality.
6-12 Month Warranty: All camera lens replacements include 6-12 month warranty (depending on supplier) covering the lens and workmanship.
What to Expect: Your iPhone X will take clear photos again without blur, haze, or spots caused by damaged lens glass.
Common Questions:
- How long does the repair take? Most camera lens replacements are completed within 30-60 minutes when parts are available.
- Will my photos be as good as before? Yes – a new lens restores optical clarity. If the camera module itself was damaged, that’s a separate repair.
- Can dust get into my camera now? A cracked lens can allow dust and moisture in, potentially damaging the camera module. Get it fixed sooner rather than later.
- Will my data be safe? We don’t access your data during camera lens repair. The main housing doesn’t need to be opened for lens replacement.
- Do you need my passcode? We need your passcode to test that the camera works properly after repair. If you’d rather not share it, we can test with you present.
- Are you Apple Authorised? No – we’re an independent repair shop. This means faster turnaround and lower prices.
- What warranty do I get? 6-12 months on parts (depending on supplier) and 12 months on our workmanship.
- I can’t visit London – can you help? Yes – we offer nationwide mail-in service. Send us your iPhone, we’ll repair it within 1-3 working days and return it to you.
Other Damage? If your iPhone X has any additional damage beyond the camera lens, please mention it when booking:
- Back glass damage
- Screen damage
- Liquid damage or exposure to moisture
- Any other visible damage
This helps us prepare for your repair and provide accurate pricing.
Camera Still Not Working After Lens Is Intact? If your camera lens isn’t cracked but photos are still blurry or the camera isn’t working, the issue is likely the camera module itself. Book a diagnostic service and we’ll identify the actual problem.
Booking Your Repair: Book your appointment and we’ll order your camera lens, confirm your visit, and have everything ready when you arrive at Fixfactor.
