How can I get my Surface to you for repair?

We offer three convenient options: visit us in person at our Victoria or Wimbledon workshops, mail your device to either location using our secure postal service, or use our door-to-door courier service within a 2-mile radius of our locations. The courier will collect your Surface, we’ll repair it, and deliver it back to you – perfect for busy professionals in Central and South West London.

How long does a Surface screen replacement take?

2-4 hours if parts are in stock. Surface screens for specific models often need ordering (2-7 days delivery). Book ahead – we’ll order your exact model’s screen so it’s ready when you arrive. Each Surface generation uses different screens, so knowing your model number saves time.

Can you fix Surface kickstand problems?

Yes, we can repair kickstand issues, but there’s an important consideration: we must carefully remove the glued screen to access the kickstand mechanism. We do this very slowly and carefully, but there’s a risk the screen could crack during removal. If you proceed with this repair, you agree that if the screen cracks, you’ll either pay for screen replacement or we can cancel the repair – in which case you’ll pay for any parts we ordered plus a £49 diagnostics fee.

Do I need to book an appointment or can I walk in?

Both options are available. You can walk into either location during opening hours for immediate service subject to availability, or book an appointment to guarantee your time slot and ensure we have the correct parts ready. For Surface devices specifically, booking ahead is highly recommended due to the specialized parts requirements for each model.

Do you repair Surface devices with glued screens?

Yes, we handle all Surface models including those with glued screens. However, if we need to open a Surface with a glued screen for internal repairs (and the screen itself isn’t damaged), there’s a risk of screen damage during the careful opening process due to the device’s construction. We always inform you of this risk beforehand and ask what you’d like us to do. The level of risk varies depending on your specific model and the service required – it’s not always borne by the customer.

Can you replace Surface batteries that are swollen?

Yes – swollen batteries are common on Surface Pro models and require immediate attention. We replace with genuine capacity batteries (3-4 hours). Stop charging immediately if you notice swelling – continuing can damage the screen from inside. Bring your Surface to our London workshop same-day if possible for safety assessment.

Do you use genuine Microsoft Surface parts?

Yes, we use genuine Microsoft Surface parts for all repairs. Surface screens require original digitizers for pen accuracy, and batteries must match original capacity specifications. Aftermarket Surface parts often fail quickly or lack pen sensitivity. All parts covered by 6-month warranty.

Which London location should I visit for Surface repair?

Both locations accept all Surface repairs. For screen, battery, charging port repairs, and diagnostics, either Victoria or Wimbledon can handle your repair equally well. For advanced motherboard repairs or complex data recovery cases, we transfer the device to our Wimbledon workshop which has specialized micro-soldering equipment. Are my data safe during Surface repair?

We never delete data during Surface repairs. Technicians test basic functionality (display, touch, charging) only. However, we recommend backing up before any repair if possible. Data loss during repairs is rare but we cannot take responsibility. Your files and privacy remain secure throughout.

What warranty do you provide on Surface repairs?

We provide 6 to 12 months warranty on all Surface repairs – the exact period depends on the manufacturer’s warranty on the parts we install (always minimum 6 months, sometimes 12 months). If the same issue returns, we fix it free. Warranty excludes physical damage, liquid damage, or different problems unrelated to the original repair.

Do you help with software issues on Microsoft Surface devices?
