iPad screen replacement at Fixfactor London

Screen Replacement

Cracked or damaged iPad screens replaced with high-quality displays. We handle both laminated (iPad Pro, Air) and non-laminated (standard iPad) screen assemblies, restoring full touch sensitivity and display clarity.

1–3 hours*
iPad battery replacement at Fixfactor London

Battery Replacement

Poor battery life, unexpected shutdowns, or charging irregularities? iPad batteries sit directly behind the screen, so replacement requires carefully heating and separating the display first — a delicate process that carries a risk of screen damage. We use precision tools to minimise that risk, but we always inform you upfront. Once the screen is safely removed, the adhesive-bonded battery is extracted and replaced with a high-quality cell.

2–4 hours*
iPad charging port repair at Fixfactor London

Charging Port Repair

Loose Lightning or USB-C connections, slow charging, or complete charging failure. Like battery replacement, accessing the charging port on an iPad requires removing the screen first, which adds complexity and a small risk of display damage. We clean or replace the damaged port and test thoroughly before reassembly.

2–3 hours*
iPad water damage repair at Fixfactor London

Water Damage Repair

Professional liquid damage recovery using ultrasonic cleaners, stereoscopic microscopes, and board-level diagnostic tools. Time is critical — bring your iPad in immediately and do not attempt to charge it. We assess every component and provide honest recovery prospects.

24–48 hours**

* Times shown assume parts are prepared for your visit. We don’t hold stock — most parts are available from our suppliers for next-day delivery. Contact us first to confirm availability.

** Depending on the extent of liquid damage, whether corroded components need replacing, or board-level repairs are required, recovery may take longer.

iPad Repair Specialist in London

iPads are the tablets we repair most in London. From the compact iPad Mini to the powerful iPad Pro, Apple’s tablet range covers everything from casual browsing to professional creative work. But when something goes wrong — a cracked screen, failing battery, or liquid damage — repairing an iPad requires different expertise than fixing a phone. iPad screens are larger and more complex to separate, batteries are heavily adhesive-bonded, and the thin aluminium bodies of newer iPad Pro models leave very little margin for error during disassembly.

At Fixfactor, we typically offer two quality tiers for each repair — a premium option and a good-value alternative — but both are tested and proven. We do not stock parts where the compromise affects everyday usability. We explain exactly what you are getting, what works identically to the original, and where any differences lie. No surprises, no fine print.

If you are unsure what is wrong with your iPad, our iPad diagnostic service is the best starting point. We use stereoscopic microscopes, thermal cameras, ultrasonic cleaners, and specialist board-level tools to identify the exact fault — then give you a clear report with repair options and pricing before you commit.

Our London workshops handle the full range of iPad repairs: screen replacements (both laminated and non-laminated assemblies), battery swaps, charging port repairs (Lightning and USB-C), and water damage recovery. It is worth noting that most internal iPad repairs — including battery and charging port — require removing the screen first, as the display is the only access point to the internals. This makes iPad repairs inherently more complex than phone repairs and carries a risk of screen damage during disassembly. We always explain this upfront and use precision heating tools and techniques to minimise that risk. Beyond standard repairs, we take on motherboard-level work — microsoldering, component diagnostics, and logic board repair after liquid or physical damage. For iPads used in business or education, this is often the last resort for data recovery using specialist tools like the PC3000, when the device itself may not be worth repairing but the data on it is irreplaceable.

We Repair Any iPad Model

We repair any iPad model — from the latest M-series iPad Pro to older iPads not listed on this page. If you do not see your model, request a quote and we will confirm parts availability. Where we are limited is Apple ID/iCloud Activation Lock and iPadOS software issues — Apple’s security architecture restricts what can be done without the account holder’s credentials. If your issue is software-related, we will tell you honestly upfront. For any hardware problem — we can help.

Visit Fixfactor in London for a while-you-wait iPad repair, or send your device by Royal Mail or a courier of your choice if you are not local. Select your model above to check services and pricing, or get a quote for any model not listed.

iPad Repair FAQs

Common questions about our iPad repair services. Visit us at one of our Fixfactor London locations.

Where are your London repair workshops located?

Fixfactor operates from two London locations — our main workshop in Wimbledon (136 Kingston Road, SW19 1LY) and a central London office near Victoria station (25 Wilton Road, SW1V 1LW). We’re open Monday to Friday 9am–6pm and Saturday 9am–4pm. Both locations are easily accessible by public transport. For directions and any seasonal updates, please check our contact page.

Can you repair my iPad the same day?

Yes, we can complete most iPad repairs the same day, provided we prepare replacement parts for your visit. We no longer keep parts in stock due to the wide variety of iPad models and generations on the market. To ensure same-day service, please book an appointment in advance so we can order the correct parts for your specific iPad model and have them ready when you arrive.

What is the difference between laminated and non-laminated iPad screens?

iPad Pro and iPad Air models use laminated displays where the glass, digitiser, and LCD are fused into a single unit. Standard iPads (up to the 9th generation) use non-laminated displays with a visible air gap between the glass and LCD. Laminated screen replacements are more expensive because the entire fused assembly must be replaced. Non-laminated iPads allow the glass digitiser to be replaced separately from the LCD in some cases, which can reduce the cost. We will confirm which type your iPad uses and explain the pricing before starting the repair.

Do I need to book an appointment or can I walk in?

Both options are available. You can walk into either location during opening hours for immediate service subject to availability, or book an appointment to guarantee your time slot and ensure we have the right parts ready. Booking ahead is recommended for iPad repairs as tablet parts are less commonly stocked than phone parts.

What does your iPad repair warranty cover?

We provide 6 to 12 months warranty depending on the specific repair and the manufacturer’s warranty on parts we install. If the repaired component fails due to our workmanship or the replacement part, we’ll fix it again free of charge. The warranty doesn’t cover new physical damage, water damage, or issues unrelated to the original repair.

Can a bent iPad Pro be repaired?

iPad Pro models, particularly the 11-inch and 12.9-inch variants, are susceptible to bending due to their thin aluminium construction. In many cases, we can straighten a bent iPad Pro frame and restore its structural integrity. However, if the bend has damaged internal components — such as cracking the display or disconnecting flex cables — additional repairs may be needed. We always assess the full extent of the damage before providing a quote.

Will my Apple Pencil still work after an iPad screen repair?

Yes. Apple Pencil functionality depends on the digitiser layer of the replacement screen. We use high-quality screen assemblies that support full Apple Pencil compatibility, including pressure sensitivity and palm rejection. If your iPad supports Apple Pencil, it will continue to work after a screen replacement performed by us.

Do you use genuine Apple parts for iPad repairs?

We offer both original manufacturer screens and high-quality aftermarket alternatives for iPad repairs. Original parts maintain the exact factory specifications, while aftermarket options are often significantly cheaper and still deliver excellent performance. We are completely transparent about what we install and will help you choose based on your budget and priorities.

Do you offer iPad diagnostics if I’m not sure what’s wrong?

Yes. We offer a dedicated iPad diagnostic service where our technicians inspect your device using specialist equipment — including stereoscopic microscopes, thermal cameras, and board-level testing tools. We’ll identify the root cause of any hardware fault and provide a clear report with repair options and pricing before you commit to anything. This is especially useful for iPads with intermittent issues, mysterious battery drain, or problems after liquid exposure. Select your iPad model above and choose the diagnostic option, or book a diagnostic directly.

Are my data safe during the iPad repair?

We intentionally never delete customer data during repairs. Our technicians only test basic functionality (display, touch, charging, cameras) to verify the repair worked. We strongly recommend backing up your data to iCloud or a computer before any repair if possible. We maintain strict privacy protocols, and your personal information remains secure throughout the process.

Can you fix water damaged iPads?

Yes, we specialise in liquid damage recovery using professional ultrasonic cleaners, stereoscopic microscopes, and thermal cameras. iPads are not water-resistant, so even minor spills can cause significant internal damage. After thorough ultrasonic cleaning, we inspect every component at board level to assess condition and identify corroded parts that need replacing. If you act quickly, damage can often be reversible. Bring your iPad to us immediately if it has been exposed to liquid — do not attempt to charge it or turn it on.

Why are iPad repairs sometimes more expensive than iPhone repairs?

iPad repairs often cost more for two main reasons. First, components are larger and more expensive — iPad screens use significantly more material, and iPad Pro laminated displays require replacing the entire fused assembly. Second, most internal iPad repairs require removing the screen first, because the display is the only access point to the battery, charging port, and other internals. This screen-first disassembly adds labour time and carries a risk of display damage, which is factored into the pricing. We always provide a clear quote and explain any risks before starting work.
