Screen replacements typically take 2-3 hours, keyboard replacements 4-6 hours, and battery replacements 1-2 hours. Complex repairs like logic board fixes may require 2-7 working days.

Hardware repairs like screen or keyboard replacement don’t directly affect your software or storage. We never intentionally delete customer data. However, we cannot guarantee data safety during hardware repairs, and by agreeing to the service, you accept responsibility for your data. We always recommend backing up important files before any repair using Time Machine or iCloud.

Our supplier describes these parts as highest quality Apple replacements – including screens, keyboards, batteries, and other components. This doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t original, but rather that they aren’t branded as original Apple parts. The quality, results, and functionality are identical to original components. We’ve occasionally noticed subtle differences in colour calibration when comparing displays side by side, but in normal use, you’ll experience the same visual quality and performance as the original parts. You can expect perfect results backed by our warranty.

MacBook repairs typically consist of replacement part cost and labour charge. To be transparent, our hourly repair rate is £85/hour. The remaining value is the cost of the replacement part. The parts we use for repairs are the highest quality components we can source – we never compromise the quality of the repair using parts that don’t perform as original. Sometimes the repair cost can be reduced by using cheaper or used alternatives, and we can try to present such options if you’re working within a budget. Logic board repairs and liquid damage fixes are time-consuming repairs, sometimes requiring several hours of work.

Diagnostics at our London workshops isn’t simply glancing at the device and quoting a price – it’s a thorough inspection following our internally developed protocol, aimed at identifying the fault and presenting the best possible solution. This often includes sourcing replacement parts to confirm availability and pricing. Depending on the issue, we frequently need to disassemble the device and inspect internal components. Therefore, we believe a diagnostic fee for this time and expertise is a fair approach. However, if you decide to proceed with the repair, the diagnostic fee is deducted from the repair cost – which can be interpreted as the diagnostics becoming free.

Yes, we offer nationwide courier service if you can’t visit our London locations at Victoria or Wimbledon. For London residents, we can arrange same-day collection and drop-off service right after repair completion. Neighbours within 1-mile radius can benefit from our local pickup service. To properly test your MacBook after repair, we need to boot into macOS to confirm that all flex cables and connectors have been properly assembled and that replacement parts function as they should. This includes verifying display quality, FaceTime camera, keyboard response, trackpad functionality, and all other components. We can use a guest account if available, or you can provide a user password. If you prefer not to provide access, we can still perform the repair, but our ability to verify the repair results will be limited. Full system testing is recommended to ensure your repair is 100% successful.
