Keyboard Replacement Process: We replace the complete keyboard assembly including all keys and integrated backlight system. This is a highly time-intensive repair requiring removal of almost all internal components including the logic board, and unscrewing numerous screws to access the keyboard layer. Your trackpad, battery, speakers, and other components remain untouched. For some models or specific situations (such as bent chassis), a top case replacement may be necessary – contact us for details about your specific model.

6-12 Month Warranty: All keyboard replacements include a 6-12 month warranty (depending on supplier warranty on parts) covering the replacement keyboard assembly (keys and backlight) and installation workmanship.

What to Expect: Your 13.6-inch MacBook Air will have fully responsive keyboard with consistent key travel, proper backlight illumination across all keys, and the same typing feel as the original keyboard. Your trackpad, battery, and speakers remain unchanged.

How long does the repair take? Keyboard replacement takes 3-4 hours when keyboard assemblies are available. Same-day service possible if we have your preferred layout in stock or can prepare the assembly before your visit.
Will my data be safe? Keyboard replacement requires logic board removal but doesn't directly affect your SSD or data. We never intentionally delete customer data. However, we cannot guarantee data safety during hardware repairs. By agreeing to the service, you accept responsibility for your data. We always recommend backing up important files before any repair using Time Machine or iCloud.
Do you use original Apple keyboards? Our supplier describes these parts as high-quality Apple replacements. While we don't claim these are original Apple parts, the quality, key feel, and functionality match Apple specifications exactly. You'll receive the same typing experience and build quality as the factory keyboard.
Can you replace just one key? In very specific cases – if a keycap is missing or the plastic mechanism is damaged but the metal clip and rubber dome underneath remain intact – we can attempt repair. However, this isn't a recommended practice and often the underlying keyboard assembly has additional issues. In most cases, complete keyboard replacement is the proper solution to ensure reliable long-term function and proper backlight operation.
What about top case replacement? For some models or specific situations (such as bent chassis), a top case replacement may be necessary instead of keyboard-only replacement. This is a more comprehensive repair at a different price point. Contact us directly to discuss which option is suitable for your specific MacBook model and condition.
What keyboard layout will I receive? We'll match your current keyboard layout. As we're based in the UK, we assume UK layout unless you specify otherwise. Some layouts may be unavailable or cost more, and certain layouts require top case replacement due to different key shapes. If your MacBook was purchased in the UK, there shouldn't be any issues.
Will my battery, trackpad, and speakers be affected? No. Keyboard replacement only affects the keyboard and backlight. Your original battery, trackpad, speakers, and other components remain unchanged.
Do you need access to my device for testing? To properly test your MacBook after repair, we need to boot into macOS to verify all keyboard keys, backlight functionality, and system operation. We can use a guest account if available, or you can provide a user password. If you prefer not to provide access, we can only perform basic power-on testing – but full functionality testing is recommended to ensure your repair is 100% successful.

Sometimes keyboard problems stem from software issues, NVRAM/SMC settings, macOS bugs, or isolated logic board faults that don't require keyboard replacement. We'll give you an honest assessment before proceeding with any repair.

If your iMac / MacBook has unknown problems and it does not work or you know the problem but you would like to get a quote, this service will identify problems with your Mac.

We can look for both software and hardware issues. We will check if the battery works fine, hard drive issues, logicboard power, we also test the LCD screen, keyboard and possible aspects of the logic board.

Let us take a look, there is 80% chance your MacBook / iMac can be repaired or at least your lost files can be retrieved.

We charge the diagnostic fee if you don't follow with the repair. Diagnostic service fee also applies if you bring your MacBook for water damage repair and is not repairable. The reason is we had to spent some time finding issues with the water damaged MacBook. Water can cause too much damage to be repaired and that can be figured out after some time.

If your MacBook, MacBook Pro or MacBook Air has liquid damage, it partially works but has issues or if it does not work at all, bring it in or send for water damage cleaning service.

Liquid damage is one of the most frequent problems and also very difficult to repair. Actually anything could happen to the inside of your MacBook. Usually the keybaord and some logic board components have to be replaced but sometimes your MacBook requires completely new logicboard.

If you are worried about your data more than about the computer, we will put our concentration to save your files first.

We may need more time than a day to fix your MacBook for water damage. Usually first day is the visual inspection and washing of affected components, next day is the diagnostic service and the cost estimation. After we contact you and order necessary replacement parts if we agreed on the price. Those should be with us within next 1-3 working days.

MacBook partially working ?

If your MacBook is partially working and the damage is significant (can be only confirmed after disassembling the MacBook), it may stop working completely after we wash it with ultra sonic cleaner. The corrosion could destroy major components and its connections with logic board. Although ultrasonic cleaner and the liquid we use are safe and no aggressive methods, it may reveal serious issues with the laptop.

Please note, if your iMac or MacBook is not repairable, the £99 fee is not refundable because we have performed the set of tasks that could lead to fixing it.
