The 10.5-inch Pro was the first iPad with ProMotion, so a replacement panel here has to hold 120Hz rather than merely show a picture. A cheap assembly gives itself away the moment you scroll, which is why we fit a quality-tested part and check the refresh rate before it leaves the bench.
The display is fully laminated and glued into the frame, so it comes out under heat in one piece, with care around the digitiser cable and the Touch ID home button. That button is paired to your logic board: it moves across to the new glass, or Touch ID stops working permanently.
