The (3a) and the (3a) Pro take the same 5,000 mAh cell, which is why the price is the same on both. The signs are the same too: a percentage that drops in steps rather than smoothly, shutdowns well above zero, or a back that no longer sits flat. Act on that last one - a swelling cell is a safety matter rather than an inconvenience.
Like the (3a), the Pro is opened from the back. The difference is what is on that back: a large raised camera island for the periscope lens, which makes the panel less forgiving to lift and to reseat. We fit a tested cell, reseal properly, and check charging over USB-C before handover.
