Did you accidentally reset your Microsoft Surface ? Does it have a hardware damage that you don’t wish to repair and you need only the data ?

We have a lot of experience with restoring a data from damaged Microsoft Surfaces. Most of the time your Surface does not power on at all, it has broken screen or liquid damage. Sometimes the problem is more of the software nature – viruses, Windows does not startup or you have formatted the internal storage. To recover the data, we don’t always need to disassemble the, tablet, as long as this is not a hardware issue.

We use approved recovery methods to get files out of the damage Microsoft Surface tablets. If we cannot access it from the outside, we remove the storage (possible on Surface Pro 3, 4, Pro 5 and Surface Book).

Bitlocker key access.

Your data is encrypted by default. We may ask you for the Bitlocker recovery key to be able to transfer it. In some cases this is fine, we can recover it without it. We will be able to confirm this after we disassemble the Surface.

Limitation of liability.

This is very risky process disassembling your device. To actually diagnose the hardware, we have to remove the front screen which is extremely strongly attached with a glue. We do our best not to damage it. We dedicate 1 hour for this process but if the screen breaks, don’t put the blame on us. Please only buy the service if you are willing to pay for the broken screen if this happens.

2. Complete the checkout with your contact details, choose the speed of required repair service (turnaround time) and select the payment method. You may wish to pay after the repair but we won’t order replacement parts until we receive your device which may cause 2-3 days delays. 3. Wrap your device safely. We suggest to use the Royal Mail service for small devices like mobile phones (insured up to £500 and costs below £10). For laptops, tablets or drones, please use DHL, DPD or Parcel Force.

Before You Post Your Device:

Backup Your Data: While we don’t touch your device’s internal storage, we always recommend backing up your data for safety.

Password/PIN/Pattern Lock: Please provide the password, PIN, or pattern lock with your phone, or you may choose to remove it. Alternatively, you can factory reset your phone, create a second user or guest account – we just need to be able to test the device post-repair.

Remove SIM and Memory Cards: Take out any memory cards and the SIM card from your phone, but remember to include the SIM card tray. For other devices, also remove memory cards.

Device Only: Please send just the device, without any accessories.

Photograph Your Device: For your records, you might consider taking pictures of your device’s exterior before sending it (this is optional).

Pack Securely: Wrap your device in bubble wrap, place the order number visibly on top of the parcel, and write your return address on the back.
