How long does a Galaxy A51 repair take?

Water damage recovery takes 24–48 hours, because the board has to be cleaned and assessed before we can confirm what is needed. We do not hold stock, so booking ahead is what makes same-day service possible — we order your parts before you arrive.
Do I need to book, or can I walk in?
Both work. Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours, but we may not have your part on the day if you have not booked, in which case you would need to come back once it arrives. Booking in advance means the part is here and the repair is finished during your visit.
Will my data be safe during the repair?
Screen, battery and charging port replacements do not touch your software or storage, and we never intentionally delete customer data. We cannot guarantee data safety during hardware repairs, though, so back up anything important before you bring the phone in.
What parts do you use?
For most repairs we offer two tiers: original or OEM-equivalent parts, and high-quality aftermarket alternatives. Original parts match factory specification exactly. Good aftermarket parts are tested and perform comparably day to day — they can differ subtly in colour calibration or feel. Both are covered by our warranty. We explain the difference and the price for your model before any work starts, and we never fit a part without your agreement.
Will a screen replacement affect my fingerprint sensor?
It depends on the model. With a side-mounted or rear fingerprint sensor, a screen replacement changes nothing — the sensor works independently of the display. With an under-display sensor, the reader is calibrated to the original screen, so a replacement may affect accuracy or need re-pairing depending on the part used. We tell you which applies to your Galaxy A51 before we start.
Is my phone still water resistant after a repair?
Not to the original factory rating. The seal is a bonded adhesive gasket set at the factory, and once the phone has been opened it cannot be restored to the same standard. We re-seal with quality adhesive, which keeps out everyday splashes, but treat the phone as no longer water resistant.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — parts and workmanship are covered. If the same fault returns within the warranty period we fix it free. The warranty is valid at our London workshop. Accidental damage after the repair is not covered.
What if the repair is not worth it?
We will tell you. If the cost of the repair does not make sense against what the phone is worth, or if the board damage is beyond economic recovery, we say so rather than taking the job. You only pay the diagnostic fee, and that is refunded if you decide to go ahead with any repair we do quote.
Can you repair a phone another shop has already opened?
Usually yes, and it is a large part of what we do. Tell us what was done before — missing screws, torn flex cables and previous adhesive make a difference to the time and the price. We will assess it and quote honestly.
