OnePlus Is Leaving Europe: What Happened, and What It Means for Your Phone

OnePlus has announced that it will stop launching new products in Europe and North America. That does not switch off an existing phone. The immediate questions for owners are continued support, warranty handling and the availability of parts for their model.

What OnePlus has confirmed

The manufacturer’s announcement and FAQ describe continued obligations to existing users, including software and after-sales support. Check the regional support channel and your model’s commitments rather than assuming every market has identical arrangements.

The FAQ also describes a voluntary ColorOS transition for eligible devices. It does not justify saying that every owner who stays on OxygenOS immediately loses updates. Eligibility and future arrangements need to be checked for the particular model.

Should you replace a working OnePlus phone?

We would not replace a phone solely because future launches in the region are ending. Check whether it still receives the support you need, holds sufficient charge and runs your applications. Back up important files as you would on any other phone.

What changes for repair?

A manufacturer’s sales decision does not itself identify which parts are available. A battery, display or charging assembly must still be sourced for the exact model. Availability can change, so it should be confirmed before a repair is booked.

We assess a OnePlus repair on the fault, available part and expected result. We cannot promise that every model will remain repairable indefinitely. A localised board fault may have a different repair route from a damaged display that needs a model-specific replacement.

Before paying for work

Check any applicable manufacturer support or warranty route first. If independent repair is appropriate, send Fixfactor the model and symptoms. For an unusable phone with unbacked-up files, discuss the data priority before agreeing to a replacement board or device.
