iMac Overheating Repair & Cooling Service

An iMac hides its cooling system behind a display that is glued shut, so dust builds up for years before anyone looks. The first signs are a fan that never quietens down, a case that is uncomfortably warm above the screen, and a machine that slows to a crawl during video calls, exports or games. Left alone, sustained heat shortens the life of the logic board.

What we do

We separate the display, remove the fan and heatsink, clear the cooling channel and vents, renew the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU, and check the fan bearing for wear. The machine then runs a sustained load test while we watch the temperatures, so you get evidence the fix worked rather than a promise. Finally the display is resealed with fresh adhesive.

When it will not be enough

If the overheating comes from a failing fan, a dying drive or a fault on the logic board, cleaning alone will not settle it. We tell you that during the job and quote the actual repair before doing anything further - you decide with the number in front of you.

Models

All iMac generations, including the 21.5-inch and 27-inch slim unibody models and the 24-inch M1 to M4 machines. Turnaround is typically two to three working days, because the display adhesive needs time to cure.
