iMac Liquid Damage Cleaning Service
Liquid inside an iMac behaves differently from a spill on a laptop. It runs down the back of the panel and collects on the logic board and power supply, where it keeps corroding long after the surface looks dry. Rice, hairdryers and waiting to see what happens all make the outcome worse. What matters is how quickly the residue comes off.
What we do
We open the machine, disconnect the power, and remove the affected boards for ultrasonic cleaning - a bath that lifts residue and corrosion out of connectors and from under components, which no amount of wiping reaches. Everything is dried, inspected under a microscope, and reassembled for testing.
What we tell you afterwards
Cleaning is decontamination. It stops the damage spreading; it does not undo damage already done. After testing we tell you exactly what the liquid reached, what still works, and what a repair would cost. Sometimes the answer is that the machine is fine. Sometimes it is that the logic board needs component-level work, which we quote separately. Occasionally the honest answer is that it is not worth repairing - and we will say so.
