A 30.2 watt-hour cell sits under a fully laminated 10.5-inch display, and the lamination is the whole difficulty: glass, touch layer and LCD come out as one bonded assembly, so there is no cheap recovery if the panel cracks on the way. The heat and the lift have to be right the first time.
New cell, fresh adhesive, resealed, then charging verified end to end before handover. A back that no longer sits flat on a table, or a home button that has started to sit proud of the glass, means the cell is swelling - bring it in rather than carrying on with it.
