Xbox Series X disc drive repair
A drive that will not pull a disc in, spits it back out, grinds, or reads some discs and not others. This applies to the Series X only: the Series S has no optical drive at all.
The drive on this console is paired to the mainboard, which is why a second-hand drive dropped in whole does not work and why some shops will not touch the job. The original drive board carries the pairing, so it has to be transferred to the replacement mechanism. We do that here, then test with both game and film discs before it goes back to you.
