A black screen, no signal, or a picture that cuts out when the cable is nudged. The port on both consoles is soldered directly to the mainboard and has very little protection behind it, so a console knocked over with the cable still in usually takes the port with it — and sometimes the small protection chip beside it.
We remove the damaged port under a microscope, repair any lifted pads, fit a new one and test the console on 4K before it goes back. If the fault turns out to be behind the port rather than in it, you get that answer and a price before anything else happens.
