Desktop PC SSD Upgrade & Fitting
If your desktop still boots from a spinning hard drive, no other upgrade comes close: an SSD makes the same machine start in seconds, open programs instantly and stop freezing while it “thinks”. Most desktops from the last decade also have an unused NVMe slot that takes a drive several times faster still.
What we do
We fit the right drive for your board - SATA SSD or NVMe - and, crucially, move your system across: Windows, programs, settings and files cloned to the new drive so the machine comes back as yours, not as an empty install. The old drive can stay in as extra storage or come back to you.
Health check first
Before cloning we check the old drive’s health. If it is already failing, we say so - at that point the job is closer to data recovery than an upgrade, and it is better to know before anything is overwritten.
