Service Details
Two separate parts on this generation: the front glass with the digitiser in it, and the LCD behind it with an air gap between the two. A crack in the glass over a clean picture is a glass job - considerably less part and considerably less work than a full display assembly.
The iPad 6 was also the first standard iPad to take an Apple Pencil, so Pencil input is one of the things checked afterwards, along with touch in every zone and the Touch ID home button - which is paired to your logic board and moves across to the new glass.
