A new 32.4Wh cell fitted and verified - for an iPad 6 that drains fast, shuts down early or has started to swell.
Service Details
The iPad 6 carries a 32.4 watt-hour cell, glued down under the logic board side of the chassis, and the only way to it is through the display. On this generation the glass and the LCD are separate parts rather than one bonded panel, which changes the arithmetic if something goes wrong on the way in - but it is still work that has to be done slowly.
We fit a new cell, re-seal the device and check charging behaviour before you get it back. If the screen has started to lift at one edge, the battery underneath is swelling and the clock is running: left alone it damages the display it is pushing against.
