The 11-inch Air runs a 28.93 watt-hour cell behind a laminated Liquid Retina panel. It is a recent machine, so what we find is rarely honest wear - more often a cell that has taken a long run of hot charging, or one that has swelled after a knock. Either way the display has to come off to reach it, and that panel is a bonded part.
We fit a new cell, reseal the device and verify charging over USB-C at both low and high power before handover. Nothing is ordered and nothing is opened until you have the quote and have said go.
