The 13-inch Air carries the larger of the two M2 Air cells at 36.59 watt-hours, and the panel above it is fully laminated, so the display comes off as one bonded piece and goes back the same way. On a screen this size that means an even lift across the whole area - no single point taking the strain.
The old cell comes out with its adhesive, a new one goes in, the device is resealed and charging is checked before you collect it. If the aluminium has begun to bow away from the glass, stop charging it and bring it to us.
