A 13-inch M2 Air that has stopped charging - port replaced under the microscope, board tested first.
Service Details
On the 13-inch Air the charging port is soldered to the logic board, and the logic board sits under a large, fully laminated display. That panel has to come off before the soldering work even begins, which is the real length of this repair - the connector itself is the quick part.
USB-C failures here are usually mechanical: a contact tongue bent by a cable pushed sideways, or a socket packed with pocket debris. We test the port and the charging circuit before quoting, because a board-side fault does not improve with a new connector and you should not be paying to find that out afterwards.
