Nintendo Switch charging port repair
Not charging, charging only at an angle, or a cable that falls out — usually a worn or damaged charging port. We test the console first, because the same symptoms can come from the charging circuit on the motherboard, and a new port would not fix that.
If it is the port, we replace it and test both charging and data transfer before handing the console back. If testing points to the board, that is a separate board-level repair — we tell you what we found, quote it, and do nothing without your authorisation.

Port, or port and charging IC?
On the Switch a damaged USB-C port can short and take the charging IC on the motherboard with it — and that sometimes only shows once the new port is in, because the charging circuit cannot be tested properly across a broken port. If the IC turns out to be damaged too, we tell you and quote the additional board-level work before going any further; you can also stop at that point and pay only for the diagnostics.

- How long does it take? This is board-level microsoldering work, not a drop-in part — typically 1–3 days depending on what testing shows.
- Is it the port or the charging IC? The same symptoms can come from either. We test first and quote what we actually find — if the IC is involved, that is a separate board-level repair we confirm with you before any work.
- Should I keep using it until the repair? Better not — a damaged port can short and take the charging IC with it, which turns a port swap into a bigger repair.
