Charges only at an angle, charges intermittently, or has stopped charging. The USB-C port is soldered to the board, so it is a repair rather than a plug-in part.

Steam Deck OLED charging port repair
A handheld gets plugged in and unplugged every day, so the USB-C port wears out faster here than on anything that sits under a television. The signs are a cable that has to be held at an angle, charging that stops and starts, or nothing at all.
The port is soldered to the board, so it is removed and replaced under a microscope. We test charging and data through the new port, and check the charger itself while it is here, because a fair share of these turn out to be the cable.
