Times assume the part is already on the bench. BlackBerry parts are finite and no longer being made, so availability is checked for your exact model first — and when a part has run out, you will hear that rather than a delay.
Liquid damage is quoted after the board has been cleaned and read, not before. If corrosion has reached the charging circuit or the power rails, the work runs longer — you hear that at the point we know, not at the counter.

TCL’s licence to build BlackBerry handsets ended in 2020, and the 5G BlackBerry that was promised after it was cancelled when the company behind it shut down in early 2022. There will not be another one. That is worth saying plainly, because it is the thing people are usually trying to find out.
It changes nothing about the phones already in people’s hands. The Android BlackBerrys — the KeyOne, the Key2 and Key2 LE — are ordinary Android phones with a keyboard, and they still work. The classic BB10 and BBOS handsets are the ones that stopped: their services were switched off in January 2022, and no repair brings those back.

The Keyboard Is the Part Nobody Else Wants to Touch
A physical keyboard is a mechanical assembly with its own flex, and on the KeyOne and Key2 it doubles as a trackpad. Keys that have stopped registering, a row that has gone dead, a keyboard that works intermittently — those are diagnosed and quoted as their own repair rather than written off as “the phone is old”. It is the single most common reason a BlackBerry ends up here after somewhere else turned it down.

Does BlackBerry still make phones?
No. TCL’s licence to build them ended in 2020, and the 5G BlackBerry promised after that was cancelled when the company behind it shut down in early 2022. There is no new model coming. It does not change anything about the phone in your hand — it only means the parts supply is finite, which is why we check before we quote.
My old BlackBerry stopped working in 2022. Can you fix it?
If it is a classic BB10 or BBOS handset, no, and nobody can. BlackBerry switched off the services those phones depended on in January 2022 — calls, messaging and data stopped working, and that is a shutdown rather than a fault. The Android BlackBerrys — KeyOne, Key2 and Key2 LE — were never affected and are the ones we repair.
Can you still get parts?
For the popular models, usually — and we check for your exact handset rather than promise. Nothing new is being manufactured, so the supply is what is left in the aftermarket and it will not last forever. When a part has genuinely run out we tell you straight rather than take the phone and stall. If the price is what stops you, ask about a tested used part: a screen or a board taken from a working handset and checked before it goes in, where one exists for your model. How does the diagnostic fee work?
Diagnostics is £39, paid upfront — at the counter, or online if you post the phone in. Go ahead with the repair and the fee is credited in full. If the phone turns out to be beyond economical repair, the fee covers the work of finding that out.
