Signs You Need Battery Replacement:

  • Battery drains within hours of normal use
  • iPhone shuts down unexpectedly, especially in cold weather
  • Battery percentage drops suddenly or jumps erratically
  • Device won’t power on despite showing charging
  • iPhone becomes unusually warm during use or charging
  • Performance throttling (Settings shows “Peak Performance Capability” degraded)
  • Battery health below 80% in Settings > Battery
  • Battery swelling (screen lifting from frame)

Check Your Battery Health: Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging to see your current Maximum Capacity percentage. Apple considers batteries with less than 80% capacity as degraded. If your iPhone shows “Service” recommendation, replacement is needed.

Visit Us in London: We don’t stock batteries – there are too many iPhone models – but we can usually get yours next day. For while-you-wait service, book an appointment and we’ll have your battery ready when you arrive. You can also drop in without booking, but don’t expect same-day replacement without an appointment.

Fixfactor repair team

Mail-In Service: We order your battery when you place your service request, so the part is waiting when your phone arrives. Return within 1-3 working days.

Quality Replacement Parts: We use quality-tested batteries for iPhone 16 Pro Max, verified for capacity and thermal performance. You should expect battery life comparable to when your iPhone was new.

What We Do:

  • Careful screen removal and safe storage
  • Old battery removal
  • Installation of tested replacement battery
  • Reassembly with fresh adhesive
  • Full testing of all functions

Battery Health Display: After third-party battery replacement, your iPhone may show “Unknown Part” in Settings. This is Apple’s software restriction and doesn’t affect battery performance – only the health reporting feature.

Water Resistance: Battery replacement requires opening your iPhone. We apply fresh adhesive, but treat your iPhone as non-water-resistant after any internal repair.

While We’re Inside: With your iPhone already open, consider additional services at reduced labour cost:

  • Screen replacement – fix cracked screen while device is open
  • Charging port replacement – resolve charging issues

6-12 Month Warranty: All battery replacements include 6-12 month warranty (depending on supplier) covering the battery and workmanship.

What to Expect: Restored battery life, accurate power management, normal charging, and reliable performance without unexpected shutdowns.

Common Questions:

  • How long does battery replacement take? 30-60 minutes once we have your battery.
  • How long will the new battery last? With normal use, 2-3 years before it naturally degrades again.
  • Are you Apple Authorised? No – we’re an independent repair shop. This means faster turnaround, lower prices, and we never wipe your data as part of the repair.
  • Will my data be safe? We never intentionally delete data and don’t need to reset your phone for this repair. However, if something goes wrong during the repair process, we’re not responsible for data loss – by booking, you accept this risk. We always recommend backing up your data before any repair if possible.
  • Do you need my passcode? To properly test your iPhone after repair, we need your passcode – during battery replacement various cables are disconnected, so we need to verify everything works after reassembly. If you’d rather not share your passcode, we can test with you present, or you can reset the phone beforehand. We can also skip testing, but the risk of needing adjustments is higher – and you’d be responsible for bringing the phone back if something needs tweaking.

Swollen Battery? If your screen is lifting from the frame or you notice bulging, stop using the device immediately and don’t charge it. Contact us for urgent battery replacement.

Already Have a Cracked Screen? Battery replacement requires removing the screen. If your screen is already cracked or damaged, opening the phone may cause it to crack further or stop working entirely. In this case, you’d need to purchase a screen replacement – we can’t be responsible for worsening damage that was already present. Please mention any existing screen damage when booking.

Other Damage? If your iPhone has back glass damage or liquid exposure, mention it when booking. If we find liquid damage during repair, additional cleaning may be needed – we’ll contact you before proceeding.

Not Sure If It’s the Battery? Sometimes charging issues or performance problems stem from software, charging port, or other hardware issues. Book a diagnostic service and we’ll give you an honest assessment.

Booking Your Repair: Book your appointment and we’ll order your battery, confirm your visit, and have everything ready when you arrive at Fixfactor.
