Broken hard drive cable on your MacBook Pro 13?
If your MacBook shows a flashing question mark folder at startup, or the drive keeps disappearing, the fault is often not the drive at all — it is the ribbon cable connecting it to the logic board. On the MacBook Pro 13 this cable sits against the case and wears through with normal use, which makes it one of the most common failures on this model.
We test the drive and the cable separately, so you only pay for the part that actually failed. If the cable is the culprit, we fit a new one and re-test the machine — usually while you wait, when arranged in advance. Your files stay exactly where they were: this repair does not touch the data on the drive.
If testing shows the drive itself is failing, we tell you first, quote the options — replacement or data recovery — and do nothing without your authorisation.
