Charges only at an angle, charges intermittently, or will not dock. The USB-C port is soldered to the board, so this is microscope work rather than a plug-in part.

Nintendo Switch OLED charging port repair
A handheld gets plugged in, pulled out and dropped into a dock every day, so the USB-C port wears faster here than on anything that sits still. The signs are a cable that has to be held at an angle, charging that stops and starts, or a console that charges from the mains but will not wake in the dock.
The port is soldered to the mainboard and comes off under a microscope. We test charging, data and docked output through the new port, and we check your charger and cable while it is here - a fair share of these turn out to be the lead rather than the console.
