The display on a iPhone 17 Pro is a full assembly - glass, panel and touch layer in one part - so a crack means the assembly, whatever the picture underneath looks like. We open it the way Apple documents: heated fixture, two pentalobe screws at the bottom edge, and a controlled pick depth so the perimeter clips and the sensor flex survive.

The ambient light sensor, microphone and bracket are transferred from your original panel where the replacement ships bare. Face ID hardware is mounted to the chassis on this generation and stays in the phone. After fitting we run Apple’s Repair Assistant so True Tone and auto-brightness come back on a genuine panel.
